Plymouth Woods is a hidden gem of the Southern Tier. Celebrate its 15th anniversary by helping to rejuvenate nearly 2 miles of trail that winds through a mature oak-hickory forest. Your assistance is needed to refresh paint blazes, cut back invasive brush, and clean up the edges of a meadow that holds a magnificent collection of Allegheny mound-ant mounds.
All tools and work gloves will be provided. Please wear sturdy shoes or hiking boots and bring your own water and lunch. Additional refreshments will be provided.
From Route 17 east of Elmira, take the Church St./Rt. 352 exit–Exit 56. Go through Elmira, and turn left on Rt. 225 (Hendy Creek Road). Go about 3 miles and turn right on Kneale Road. Go 0.4 miles to the preserve parking area, on your right
