DESCRIPTION

With over 20 years of experience in environmental education, tracker and naturalist Linda Spielman will lead a trip to discover what’s been visiting the Logan Hill Nature Preserve. This trip will focus on interpreting animal behavior by identifying various tracks and other signs. More about Linda.

This walk will involve some limited steep climbs. **Please bring microspikes or crampons, as the road leading to the trailhead is icy during winter.**

DIRECTIONS

From Ithaca, take Rt. 96B south towards Danby and drive approximately 18 miles to Candor. At the first gas station in Candor, turn right on Mill St., cross the creek, and turn left at the T intersection onto Rt. 96 – Main St. After passing Candor Central School on the left, turn left into the United Health Services parking lot at 54 Main St. Land Trust staff will organize a carpool to the preserve. The road to the preserve is often impassable in winter.

POLICIES

Except in the case of extreme weather, walks go rain, sun or snow. Please check our Facebook page or this web page for updates. For weather-related inquiries or driving instructions, please contact the Land Trust at info@fllt.org.

Please refrain from bringing dogs as they may impede the observation of wildlife.
