Our Aldo Leopold Memorial Benches provide a meaningful way to honor a loved one while supporting conservation efforts in the Finger Lakes region.

How It Works

We have identified special designated locations within our nature preserves where memorial benches can be placed, ensuring they align with our conservation goals. Each bench is handcrafted in the Leopold Bench style, designed for durability and harmony with the natural environment.

Memorial Bench Tribute ($5,000 Donation)

Your donation covers:

• A handcrafted Leopold Bench placed in a designated preserve
• A personalized plaque (6” x 8”, 3/16” thick) affixed to the bench
• Installation, maintenance, and repair for the first 3 years
• The bench will remain in place for its lifespan, but after three years, we are unable to guarantee replacement or repair if damaged

To request a memorial bench, please complete our online application form below. Each request is reviewed to ensure alignment with our conservation priorities. We will work with you to finalize the bench location and plaque inscription. Please note that the construction and installation of a memorial bench can take up to six months.
