Why are you a member?
The natural world is vital to our physical and mental well-being. Once developed, land no longer provides clean air and clean water or the habitat for the complex web of plants and animals on which we depend. How lucky we are to have the FLLT to help preserve critical lands.
How long have you been a member of FLLT?
Member since 1991.
What’s your favorite FLLT activity and/or preserve, and why?
Living in Ellis Hollow on our own beautiful land, I often stick close to home so I’m not familiar with many of the preserves.
Anything else you want to add?
Having worked on environmental issues all my adult life, I realize that winning a battle is often temporary. Hard-won laws and policies can be reversed. In contrast, lands preserved through the FLLT will remain protected forever.
