Description

A unique collaboration between the Central New York Land Trust (CNYLT) and the Finger Lakes Land Trust (FLLT) is nearing completion, and your help is needed to cross the finish line!

Join staff, volunteers, and supporters of the CNYLT and FLLT to help complete a trail that will connect the Ripley Hill Nature Preserve with the Hinchcliff Family Preserve.  Ripley Hill is the highest point in the Skaneateles Lake watershed and is home to a wonderful scenic vista of the lake.  Your help is needed to help build boardwalks through a number of wet areas on both preserves.  Tools, hardware, and work gloves will be provided.  If you own a battery-powered impact driver or drill that you are willing to bring, it will greatly help speed up installation.  A generator will be onsite to recharge batteries, but the more tools the better.

Refreshments will be provided both days, but please bring extra water with you.  On Saturday, refreshments will be provided again, but please bring your own lunch.

Directions

We will meet at the trailhead along Ripley Hill Rd.  Please park on the side of the road nearest the field, and be sure to park far enough over on the shoulder to leave enough room for vehicles to pass.  Directions can be found here.
