Talks & Treks: Spring Wildflower Walk

Sims-Jennings Preserve at Cayuga Cliffs—town of Lansing, Tompkins County

DESCRIPTION

Join us for a walk to learn about spring wildflowers from Blake Enos, FLLT Land Steward. Blake’s walk will focus on the spring ephemeral wildflowers in the forest understory, as well as plant identification methods and a discussion of the history and ecosystems present at the preserve. Bring a loupe or magnifying glass if you have one.

DIRECTIONS

From Ithaca, take East Shore Drive for six miles to turn left on NY-34B N/Ridge Road (at the intersection at Rogue’s Harbor). After four miles, the preserve will be on the left.
