DESCRIPTION

Finger Lakes Land Trust Executive Director Andy Zepp will lead a walk to explore Onondaga County’s newest park. The FLLT acquired the site in 2020 from the estate of William “Bill” Henderson, utilizing grant support from New York State’s Water Quality Improvement Program. The site was then conveyed to Onondaga County in early June 2022, subject to a perpetual conservation easement held by the FLLT. Andy will discuss the site’s birds, plants, trees, and other natural wonders, as well as the role that land protection plays in safeguarding water quality.
