Description

Join staff and volunteers on the first Friday of every month, from May through October, for FLLT nature preserve management activities and socializing. If you are looking for a good reason to take off a half-day on a Friday, this is it! Work sessions will be held from 2:00-4:30 pm, followed by a social hour from 4:30-5:30. Tools, work gloves, light refreshments, and snacks will be provided!

Work is nearly finished clearing the Hinchcliff/High Vista Connector Trail! This project is helping to realize FLLT’s long-term goal of creating a trail corridor linking the Hinchcliff Family Preserve to the High Vista Nature Preserve at the south end of Skaneateles Lake. Your help is needed to put the finishing touches on the trail before we get ready to open it to the public. Activities will include: trimming brush and woody growth, trail marking, side-hilling, and giving the trail one final touch-up.

Directions

From Rt. 41 south of Skaneateles, turn onto Vincent Hill Road West, just north of the Cortland/Onondaga County line. After about 1/3 mile, the road bends to the southwest and there is a small parking area on the right-hand side. The preserve is on both the east (left) and west (right) sides of the road. On the east side, there is a large field in the bend of the road that is not part of the preserve. GPS coordinates: 42.7714318162,-76.2605847423.
