Description

Join us on Tuesdays in June at the Houghton Land Preserve from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to help clear a new hiking trail and prepare the preserve for public access.  This preserve was generously donated by the Houghton Family, and contains a wonderful mix of forest and meadow habitat with a beautiful scenic vista.

Please wear sturdy footwear and clothes that you do not mind getting dirty. FLLT will provide tools and work gloves but feel free to bring your own.

Directions

From Corning, turn south (away from downtown) onto Walnut St.  Take Walnut St. to the end and turn onto Powderhouse Rd. Turn left at the first stop sign onto Spencer Hill Rd.  At the stop sign, turn left to continue north onto Spencer Hill Rd.  Parking will be on the right shoulder, opposite of the nature preserve, about 100 yards after you make the turn.  Look for the Land Trust work truck.
