DESCRIPTION

The Finger Lakes region is home to many types of animals and you can see evidence of their behavior if you take a closer look. With over 20 years of experience in environmental education, tracker and naturalist Linda Spielman will lead a trip to discover what’s been visiting the Summerland Farm Preserve in Caroline. This trip will focus on interpreting animal behavior by identifying various tracks and other signs.

Please dress appropriately for the weather.

DIRECTIONS

The Summerland Farm Preserve is located about 13 miles east of Ithaca. From Ithaca, take Route 79 east to Caroline and turn right onto Level Green Rd. At 1.8 miles, bear left onto Blackman Hill Rd. After 1.2 miles, turn right into the parking area. Carefully cross the road to find the trailhead.
