Description

2015 marks the 20th anniversary of the Lindsay-Parsons Preserve! Come sketch, draw and paint this jewel of a preserve with the help of Camille Doucet, painter and art teacher. Bring art material in any medium you fancy, a portable stool/chair, a brown bag lunch, water to drink, sunscreen, some warm clothes and anything else needed to make this a splendid, comfortable and creative day.

Email Camille with any questions at doucetcamille@gmail.com. Or call 272-8781 (cell phone) if you arrive after 10:30am so that Camille can direct you to our chosen location on the land.  Suggested donation of $10.

Directions

Meet at the entrance of the preserve on route 34/96.  The Lindsay-Parsons Biodiversity Preserve is located in West Danby, about 8 miles away from Ithaca. Take Rt. 13 south from Ithaca, then take Rt. 34/96 south to West Danby. Most of the preserve is located on the east side of the highway, across from Sylvan Drive and the West Danby Fire Station. Ample parking is available about 1/2 mile south of Sylvan Drive, on the east side of the road. Entrance to the parking lot is at the top of a hill, opposite a house and barn.
