DESCRIPTION

Join us at the Sims-Jennings Preserve at Cayuga Cliffs for an afternoon of nature sketching with Robert McNamara. Bob is an accomplished Finger Lakes wildlife artist and naturalist, who has exhibited his artwork nationally and internationally. He also designs interpretive panels for the Land Trust’s conservation areas!

The Sims-Jennings Preserve is located high above eastern shore of Cayuga Lake, protecting a mosaic of meadows, woodlands, gorges, waterfalls, and panoramic lake views. We will hike to a scenic location for pen and pencil sketching with guidance from Bob. Please bring a sketching pad and drawing utensils (pen and pencil) with you. All skill levels are welcome! Exact hiking distance is TBD.

DIRECTIONS

From Ithaca, take East Shore Drive for six miles to turn left on NY-34B N/Ridge Road (at the intersection at Rogue’s Harbor). After four miles, the preserve will be on the left.
