DESCRIPTION

Join fellow photographers for a morning at the Roy H. Park Preserve with Land Trust staff member and photographer Chris Ray. Photo enthusiasts of all levels are welcome, and we will explore different types of nature photography from macro to landscape. We will also discuss exposure fundamentals, camera techniques and mechanics. Advanced camera gear is not essential but it is recommended to bring a camera with manual controls and a tripod.

DIRECTIONS

From Ithaca, take Rt. 13 North towards Dryden. Go approx. 12 miles and turn right on Irish Settlement Rd. Continue on Irish Settlement approx. 4 miles to find the NORTH parking area–where the boardwalk is–on the left (approx. 0.5 mile after Hammond Hill Rd). Continue approx one more mile down Irish Settlement Rd to find the SOUTH parking area just after Goodband Rd. If you get to Midline Rd, you’ve gone too far.
