DESCRIPTION

It’s amazing what can be found in our nearby forests and streams if we look carefully in unusual places. Past Land Trust President Tom Reimers will lead a “herp hike” along marked trails in search of frogs, snakes, salamanders, and other reptiles and amphibians.  Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear shoes that you don’t mind getting wet.  Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

DIRECTIONS

From Ithaca follow Rt. 13 south to just past Buttermilk Falls State Park. Turn left on Sandbank Road. At Y intersection bear right on Town Line Road. Park immediately on right side of the road (before the bridge). Thayer Preserve is to the left.
