Description

This bird walk is especially for families and children! Join Tilden Chao for an easy walk through varying habitats at the Roy H. Park Preserve. Tilden, 17, has grown up in a birding household and has shared his family’s love for birds from an early age. Tilden will be finishing his senior year of high school this year. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Please bring binoculars if you have them. Suitable for children age 5 and up.

Directions

From Ithaca, take Rt. 13 North towards Dryden. Go approx. 12 miles and turn right on Irish Settlement Rd. Continue on Irish Settlement approx. 4 miles to find the NORTH parking area–where the boardwalk is–on the left (approx. 0.5 mile after Hammond Hill Rd). Continue approx one more mile down Irish Settlement Rd to find the SOUTH parking area just after Goodband Rd. If you get to Midline Rd, you’ve gone too far. Get more preserve information.

Policies

Except in the case of extreme weather, walks go rain or shine. Please check our Facebook page or this web page for updates.
