Martin Nature Preserve—town of Odessa, Schuyler County

Please RSVP with Nature Preserve Manager Jason Gorman by emailing or calling 607-275-9487.

Join staff and volunteers on the first Friday of every month from May through November for FLLT nature preserve stewardship activities and socializing. If you are looking for a good reason to take off a half-day on a Friday, this is it! Work sessions will be held from 2:00-4:30 pm, followed by a social hour from 4:30-5:30. Tools, work gloves, light refreshments, and snacks will be provided.

The Martin Preserve is one of Finger Lakes Land Trust’s hidden gems. Please join us to refresh a few sections of the trail, improve creek crossings, and build a short footbridge. All hand tools and materials will be provided. There will be a relatively short, moderate hike required to reach some of the sections of the trail that need work. Conditions may be muddy so please wear appropriate footwear.

From Ithaca, take Rt. 79 West. In Mecklenburg, turn left on Rt. 228. Follow for 7.7 miles and turn right on Steam Mill Rd. Follow to the intersection with Charles Rd. Turn left onto Charles Rd. and park on the right. Preserve is on both sides of Charles and Steam Mill Rds.
