10:00 AM—12:30 PM

Lindsay-Parsons Biodiversity Preserve—town of West Danby, Tompkins County

Celebrate the 53rd Anniversary of Earth Day by volunteering with the Finger Lakes Land Trust! Help is needed with a variety of tasks including roadside trash cleanup, invasive species removal, and habitat improvement. Work gloves, tools, and Hi-Vis safety vests for roadside cleanup will be provided. If you have a favorite pair of gloves or pruners, please feel free to bring them.

Please note that a two-mile roundtrip hike will be required to access one of the habitat improvement sites.

Take Rt. 13 south from Ithaca, then take Rt. 34/96 south to West Danby. Most of the preserve is located on the east side of the highway, across from Sylvan Drive and the West Danby Fire Station. Ample parking is available about 1/2 mile south of Sylvan Drive, on the east side of the road. Entrance to the parking lot is at the top of a hill.
