The Finger Lakes Land Trust presents a wonderful new chance to protect land and water in the Canandaigua Lake watershed.  The project will create a scenic natural area that conserves over 100 acres and part of a tributary that flows into the lake.  With your help, we can complete the Canandaigua Vista project!

The Land Trust will create a new preserve – open to the public – only minutes from downtown Canandaigua on the west side of the lake.  FLLT is raising money to purchase the property, open it to the public, and steward the land forever.  Please watch our short video to get inspired and support the project.

Do you have friends who love Canandaigua Lake?  Friends who love pristine natural areas and hiking trails?  Please share the video with them.  We need your help.  Every dollar counts!

The new preserve will secure diverse wildlife habitats and splendid lake views.  Hikers will enjoy two miles of trails amidst hills, valleys, meadows, and forest.  You can see the map of other Land Trust areas that have been protected permanently and opened to all.

The Canandaigua Vista project will also save a stretch of Barnes Creek, creating a water quality buffer on this tributary that flows into the lake.

The Finger Lakes Land Trust is raising money to purchase the property, open it to the public, and steward the land forever.

With your help, we can permanently protect this beautiful piece of the Canandaigua Lake watershed: Please see the press release for more project details. Contact us with any questions about Canandaigua Vista and how you can help save more land in the Finger Lakes region.
