Pine Scone Recipe
(Remember to bring something to give to the trees in return! Gather a small handful of pine needles & say thank you!)
Set oven to 375 F
Grease a muffin tin
Combine dry ingredients in medium-large bowl:
1 1/3 cup flour (can be GF)
1 cup finely ground corn or oats
1/2 cup raisins/currants
3 tbsp pine needles (chopped finely)
1 tbsp baking powder
In a separate bowl, combine:
1/4 cup honey or maple syrup or brown sugar
2 tbsp melted butter or other fat
Then add to the above:
1 egg
1 cup milk or nut milk or 1/2 cup yogurt + 1/2 cup water
Now combine all together, fill muffin cups 3/4 full, and bake 20 min or until a knife comes out clean.
Plant more white pine or let an old field grow!
