    Board Candidate Bios

    Elizabeth Dann (1st 3-year term)  Elizabeth recently retired from Corning, Inc. where she served as Director of Corporate Communications. She lives in Corning and currently serves on the collections committee of The Rockwell Museum and the board of The Alternative School for Math & Science.

    William Eggers (3rd 3-year term)  Bill is retired from his role as Senior Counsel at Nixon Peabody LLP in Rochester. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice and General Counsel at Corning Incorporated. Bill has sat on numerous boards including Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, Chemung Financial Corporation, and Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. He and his wife, Deborah, live in South Bristol on Canandaigua Lake.

    David Fernandez (1st 3-year term)  David is the owner of Cayuga Landscape, an Ithaca-based landscape design and construction company that also operates a retail garden center. He has served on the boards of Cornell Botanic Gardens, the Sciencenter, and is a former president of the board for Ithaca’s Montessori School. David lives in Ithaca with his wife, Elizabeth.

    Maria Fernandez-Gaige (1st 3-year term)  Maria is an associate attorney at Schlather, Stumbar, Parks & Salk, LLP, in Ithaca, where she practices general civil litigation, land use and related municipal law, and estate planning (among other areas). She lives in Mecklenburg where her husband operates a dairy farm.

    Hadley Lundback (2nd 3-year term)  Hadley is a partner at Faraci Lange, LLP, in Rochester where she focuses on personal injury with a concentration in environmental, medical device and pharmaceutical toxic torts, consumer protection, and medical malpractice litigation. She is on the board of the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers and Public Justice, and lives in Rochester with her two kids.

    Wade Sarkis (1st 3-year term)  Wade is the owner and managing principal of Canandaigua Financial Group. He is a former president of the Canandaigua Lake Watershed Association and still active on their board. He is also vice-chair and treasurer of the F.F. Thompson Foundation, Inc. Wade lives in Canandaigua with his wife, Joscelyne.

    Jan Suwinski (4th 3-year term)  Jan is a retired Professor of Business Operations at Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management and former Executive Vice President at Corning, Inc. He and his wife, Susan, are the owners of Sheffield Farm in Ithaca.

    James Walsh (1st 3-year term)  Jim served as U.S. Congressman for the Syracuse area from 1989 through 2009. Since then, he has been serving as a government affairs counselor for the firm of KL Gates and serves on the boards of numerous non-profit organizations including the Onondaga Environmental Institute, Saint Bonaventure University, and Co-operation Ireland. He and his wife DeDe live in Spafford on Otisco Lake.
