DESCRIPTION

Join Akiva Silver of Twisted Tree Farm for a walk that will focus on identification, natural history, wildlife value, the role of invasive plants, as well as survival uses of trees and shrubs. The walk will last two hours or more so please come prepared with appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather and terrain.

DIRECTIONS

**Please note special parking instructions:
From Ithaca take Rt. 13 north to the intersection with Rt. 366. Turn left on Rt. 366 and continue through Etna to the village of Freeville. Turn left at the stop sign onto Rt. 38 and drive approximately 0.75 mile to turn right on Brooklyn Road (you will pass the Genung Preserve on your left). Park at the Adana Veterinary Clinic—we have permission to use their parking lot, for this event only. You can either walk 0.3 mile to the preserve, off Rt. 38, or a staff member from the Land Trust will be there to offer rides. NOTE: The parking lot of the Genung Preserve can’t accommodate more than 4 cars. Please do not park in the lot or along Rt. 38, as it is a high-traffic area.
