The People

Brad Edmondson is a freelance journalist and demographer. Brad has been involved with the Land Trust for about ten years. He bikes to work everyday and lives in Ithaca, NY with his wife, Tania.
Jim Kersting is a retired counselor from the National Technical Institute for the Deaf at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Jim has been involved with the Land Trust since the early 90s and has just completed his third term as president on the Board of Directors. He bikes for pleasure near his home in Canadice.
Sara Kersting has also been associated with the Land Trust as a volunteer for the past 15 years. Sara and Jim both love blue highway travel and camping. However, she does not feel the same about hours on a bicycle seat so she agreed to drive the support wagon. Sara is also retired from the National Technical Institute for the Deaf at RIT.
Jim says of Brad:
“Brad is a walking-biking Wikipedia, and hanging around with him will mean I will be the beneficiary of his study of the often quirky, sometimes obscure, tidbits of life.”
Brad says of Jim:
“He seems really flaky and disorganized, but he’s actually just the opposite. He’s a good leader and can inhale an ice cream cone like no one else.”
