On August 12, 2008, Jim Kersting and Brad Edmondson (with Jim’s wife, Sara driving the “sag wagon”) will depart from Anacortes, WA on a 4,000 mile cross-country bike trip. The route will take them through the Cascades to Glacier National Park, Yellowstone, the Bad-lands, across the farmland of Minnesota and Wisconsin to the shore of Lake Michigan and beyond. True to their goal to visit conserved lands they will start on lands protected by the Skagit Land Trust and dip their tires in Puget Sound at Fildago Bay, Washington. The trip will end at the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge in Wells, Maine. In between will be the adventure of a lifetime.
